So I left Saturday morning (eight forty-five AM) from Rachael's church where I met everyone that was going. There were ten kids and two adults going since there needed to be a chaperone for the guys and girls. The people that went were Tina (Rachael's mom), Billy (guy chaperone), Rachael, Jordan, myself, Danielle, Lauren (Rachael's cousin), Dakota, Adam, Ian, Brent, and Jon (Rachael's brother).
The car ride there was fun (in our car at least). Jordan and I annoyed Jon by listening to my iPod (full blast) and rapping along to Eminem. But, then we went to lunch and Tina said that she couldn't wait for Ian to cut loose and he thought she wanted to watch him have sex. Wow, we were the loudest people in the fast food resturant after that.
But we stopped at a gas station after that for snacks and drinks. That's when I called my mom and left her a message that made her think I had gone temporarily insane. But, after we stopped, we only had to last another hour and fifteen minutes until we got to the camp.
When we did arrive, and told some of the staff that we were with Billy, they all started freaking out and ran to Billy's car. Then, we were told the camp rules. No electronics and such but the rule that scared a lot of girls was no Purple. Some girls had brought purple clothing and they wanted to wear them. But it was quickly explained. Boys are blue and girls are pink. Don't mix the two. Ahhhhhhh! That makes sense.
So, after registration, we settled into our house with another Youth Group and we had free time until five. We explored the forts, swam in the pool, and walked on the beach. Our group had meals last so we were eating at six. So we basically chilled until dinner and, after dinner, we played basketball in they gym until Grand Session time (church service. I am at a church camp). They had a live band there (Brad Hudson band). They were loud. I thought I'd go deaf. But they had a lead singer that could sing so I got their CD.
Alright, second day, we had breakfast at eight thirty and had to go to a workshop afterwards. Rachael, Jordan, Jon, and I went to one where our speaker, a guy named Andy, was.......speaking. There had to be about a hundred people in that room listening to him. After that, we had another Grand Session. Singing with the band, watching the "musical" some of the staff put on. After that was lunch and we had free time until dinner then more free time until Grand Session 3.
The last day we just had breakfast, Grand Session 4, and we could leave but we went to Billy's parents house with the other church we were bunking with since it's Billy's other church. We also swam at the beach and ate another meal before we left. I ended up getting home at ten. Stupid four hour long car ride. This time, we had Adam with me, Rachael, and Jordan. Jordan and I were in the back ad marked all over his legs. We wrote stuff like 'Dakota is Fergalicious', 'Brent is cute', and 'It's a no no to probe a hobo' along with pictures (these I'll have to post later).
Oh, and I found out that eye balls sound like glass when they hit the floor. Billy can take out his eye since he was shot in the eye/head five times when he was five. And Lauren wouldn't shut up about the 'hot singer guy' from Hudson. Every five seconds it seemed like she would say something about his arms or butt and him being 'so sexy'. It got annoying. And, at the first Grand Session, they had someone come on stage and say that he kissed a squirrel. And he liked it. Andy, the speaker, also made up a movie with a bunch of other movies crammed into in at the last Grand Session. It. Was. Hilarious. I could have died laughing. It was something about Harry Potter battling the forces of darkness in 27 dresses and aliens and predetors were in there. Had to be there moment.
Oh, and we rolled down a hill! Well, not me but a lot of people did. And I got a video of it! (that I may post later. Who knows? I also got a video of the band performing but I didn't start it at the beginning of the song. I started after the first verse and chorus. But I liked the song! And that's about it about my trip. It may have been three days long but that trip wore me out and it didn't seem like three days.
